| It's simple. Just rate the last movie you've seen and talk about why you liked it/disliked it, etc. I'll start:
The Fighter -- ****
Pros: -The acting is fantastic, especially from Christian Bale, who deserves his Oscar. -The film is inspirational. -It's well-shot, especially the fight scenes which use older cameras to simulate the feel of watching an older sporting event.
Cons: -The story isn't anything new. It reminds me a lot of the classic boxing film Rocky.
Battle: Los Angeles -- ** ½
Pros: -Aaron Eckhart is awesome in this role. -The action scenes are frequent and are cool. -There are some hilariously cheesy lines. -The cinematographer uses the shaky-cam technique which works well during combat scenes.
Cons: -The script is simply awful, more specifically, the dialog. -The action scenes aren't very diverse and can become monotonous. So much is thrown at you that by the end it loses a bit of its flair. -The shaky-cam works well during combat scenes, but is used just as much during the nonviolent scenes which can get annoying. -There isn't much of a story to follow, but it's not too big a deal because most people go in expecting the story to take a back seat anyway. ___________________________ Check out my blog, MAG Journal!

| Repo Men -- *½
Pros: -Solid acting from Jude Law, Forrest Whitaker, and Liev Schreiber -Interesting premise
Cons: -Boring as hell
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen -- *
Pros: -Some cool action sequences
Cons: -Terribly-written characters -Poor acting -Poor writing in general, including stereotyped characters and unfunny jokes
Sukiyaki Western Django -- *** Pros: -Awesome style -Cowboy samurai: what's not to love? -Really cool action sequences
Cons: -Nothing amazing story-wise; you really just watch it for the stylish action
Red Dragon -- ***½ Pros: -Fantastic acting from both Edward Norton and Anthony Hopkins; Hannibal is just as disturbing as always and reminds us why he is such an iconic character in film -Truly scary and disturbing moments in this film make it hard to watch as well as hard to turn off
Cons: -I honestly can't think of any cons to this film. I personally think it is as good as The Silence of the Lambs. ___________________________ Check out my blog, MAG Journal!

It's definitely my favorite war film as well and probably my fifth-favorite film of all time. Try watching the Redux version. It's about three and a half hours long but packs in a lot of deleted footage.___________________________ Check out my blog, MAG Journal! |

| The Outsiders (1983)
I'll give it a 4 out of 5. The pacing is a little fast. |

5 out of 5, nothing to be said, one of the best movies ever. |

| Limitless -- *** +Solid acting from Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro +Really awesome editing and cinematography +Some awesome moments involving gruesome fights (including one where Cooper does what is possibly the most disgusting thing I've ever seen to get the drug into his system) -The film kinda goes everywhere; it fluctuates between uplifting segments and "in the shitter" segments -Really abrupt ending -Some potential plot lines are never really fleshed-out or even solved with an explanation ___________________________ Check out my blog, MAG Journal!

| Season of the Witch.
When two knights in crusade for god, they are supposed to be british.. but throught the thick american accent I couldnt figure that out. It's about trying to cure the black plague, by killing witches, but they get a nasty supprise at the end of the movie...
2/5
Barely worth watching... |

| This Film Is Not Yet Rated.
It's a documentary on how the MPAA blows cock.
It was pretty good and you get to see how irrational their decisions are when rating movies. They have more of a problem with sex then they do with violence. Which is weird since nobody has ever died from an orgasm(well, having one isn't dangerous).
There were some parts that were pretty boring, mostly the part about McCarthyism.
Overall I'd recommend it.
