| All major European cities are attacked with chemical weapons, ruins a family vacation
Soap dies
Yuri, a character you play for the Task 141 story, reveals his history with Makarov as his friend. Such as the failed assassination attempt on Zakhaev, witnessing the nuke go off from MW1, almost killed just before the airport massacre in MW2 and trying to stop it
At the end, you (playing as Price) and Yuri storm a fancy hotel where Makarov is staying and go guns a blazin' with juggernaut suits. Yuri is killed and a few QTEs later, Makarov is hanging by rappel rope from the ceiling and Price smokes his cigar
Modern Warfare 3 in a nutshell enjoy your game |

| And nothing of value was lost. ___________________________ We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Sahara. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively outnumbers the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here. We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds, how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state, from which the vast majority have never stirred. - Richard Dawkins |

| The only interest I had left in the Modern Warfare series were the SAS characters in the campaign.
Gutted to hear about Soap, but after Gaz died in COD4 and thinking Price didn't make it either prepares you to assume all the characters are expendable in this series but atleast Price gets the job done in MW3.
I heard rumours that this will be the last Mordern Warfare installment to feature the SAS characters and in future it will focus on American soldiers one of whom is voiced by Tobey Maguire...
Nothing more to care about from that point then... |
