I feel lucky in this regard. I never played the previous Battlefront games, but I have played Battlefield 3 and 4 extensively. I honestly never played a single level from the campaign on either of those games, it was always muliplayer.
So for me this game was only ever going to be a Battlefield game with a Star Wars skin over the top of it. Which is exactly what I'm after. To be fair they did a good job of adding some gameplay mechanics well suited to Star Wars game, but I agree this game is seriously gimped compared to it's predecessors.
